What is Organic Search?
An organic search is a process by which World Wide Web users find web sites having unpaid search engine listings, as opposed to using the pay per click advertisement listings displayed among the search results.
The field of search engine optimization, (SEO), is concerned with maximizing the visibility of a web site by making its listings appear more frequently and more prominently in organic search results. Some businesses base their SEO strategies on the successful insertion of their web site listing(s) into organic search results for various popular keywords.
They got the name organic listings because they are usually ideally unaltered by humans and not paid for.
Why Organic Listings Are “Pure”?
If people thought their searches returned nothing but a bunch of advertisements, they would stop searching. For that reason these organic listings are pure, or at least the search engines want us to believe they are pure.
Google has been praised heavily for returning what many have deemed the most relevant search results while keeping their revenue stream clearly isolated from the organic listing results. As time passes though pressures have degraded Google’s search relevancy.
Organic search engine optimization (SEO), also referred to as natural search engine optimization, is the process of enhancing your web site with the goal of increasing your visibility in the top search engines when specific keywords or phrases are searched for.
The overall SEO process involves a variety of aspects including keyword analysis and selection, web site optimization for optimal search engine positioning, search engine crawler inclusion, creating and submitting directory listings, link popularity enhancement and ongoing campaign reporting and maintenance. The end result is that people will be able to easily find your web site when searching for products and services related to your business.
